Feeder는 영국 웨일즈 출신 그랜트 니콜라스(보컬/기타), 존리(드럼), 일본 동경 출신인(91년도에
영국으로 유학) 다카 히로세(베이스)로 결성된 펑크/하드록/그런지 밴드다.
데뷔초엔 영국에서 보기 힘든 미국적인 스타일의 음악을 하는 밴드로 알려져있지만 2집앨범부터는
상당히 영국적인(?) 음악을 하는 Feeder만의 색깔을 들려주는 독특한 밴드다.

95년도에 ep 를 내놓고 데뷔후 96년 1집 polythere를 발표한다. 다소 하드하고 펑크한 음악을
들려주고 있다. Polythere girl과 high가 히트하였다. 몇몇곡들은 스매싱펌킨스의 아류라는
비난도 받았다.

99년도에 2집 Yesterday Went Too Soon을 발표한다. 이앨범은 Feeder만의 색깔을 찾은 음반으로
상당히 평론가들에게 좋은 평가를 받은 앨범이다. Insomnia, Day In Day Out이 히트하였다.

2001년도에 3집 echo park는 상업적으로 크게 성공한 앨범이며 Feeder를 영국 최고의 밴드대열에
끼게한 앨범이다.Buck Roger, Seven Days In The Sun이 크게 히트를 하였다.
그러나 2002년도 1월 드러머 존리가 자살을 하게 되고 Feeder는 활동을 접게 된다. 해체를 한다는
루머가 돌았지만 두 나머지멤버의 라인업으로 새앨범 작업을 한다는 소식을 발표하게 된다.

현 2003년도에 4집 Comfort In Sound를 발표하고 Feeder는 다시 큰인기를 얻으며 활동을 하고 있다.
두멤버로만 활동을 하며 드러머는 세션을 쓰고있다. 프로듀서도 바뀌어서 전앨범들과는 다른
사운드를 보여주고 있다. Come Back Around가 첫싱글이다.
그러나 신보의 평들은 예전앨범보다는 못하다는 예기가 많다. 아마도 드러머 존리의 자살이
두멤버들에게 큰 아픔을 남겨준것일까?
